Up to 37% of the emission reductions needed by 2030 to keep global temperature increases under 2°C can be provided by nature based carbon projects. However, supply of such projects offering solutions is constrained owing to several challenges.
Our mission is to enable a lot more high quality Nature Based Carbon projects.
There is no serendipity in this world. Everything is meant to be.
Our co-founders Ron Steinherz and Vinay Kulkarni were both having the same inquiry after years of being drawn towards serving nature, and exposure to the industry in different capacities while being in very different locations and settings (Ron in the Bay Area and Israel, Vinay in India and Southeast Asia). The inquiry was simple - ‘What can I do right now to accelerate development of nature based carbon projects?’
This inquiry and subsequent conversations led them independently to Gabriel Eickhoff, an NCS veteran, who suggested ‘why don’t you two meet?’, and has offered much guidance along the journey. We have since had much learning and growth on this path of understanding pain points, brainstorming, conceptualising, and building out early solutions for stakeholders in the ecosystem.

There are several challenges to be solved in the nature based carbon projects industry as a whole, and along our journey we hope to work on many of them.

This is important for several reasons but at the core of it - this way of letting nature thrive is truly place-based, letting the people and ecosystem that are most affected and have the most context, take charge and deliver meaningful impact.
To do this, we are…
